Withdrawal Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this withdrawal policy is to provide guidelines for students who wish to withdraw from the Unique Endeavor in Business & Social Sciences program.

General Policy

Students may withdraw from the Unique Endeavor in Business & Social Sciences program at any time. However, there are deadlines and procedures that must be followed in order to avoid academic or financial penalties.

Deadlines

  • Full Withdrawal: Students may withdraw from the program entirely before the end of the first semester without academic penalty. However, they will be responsible for paying all tuition and fees incurred up to the date of withdrawal.

  • Administrative Withdrawal: Students may request an administrative withdrawal from the program after the first semester deadline. Administrative withdrawals are granted for extenuating circumstances, such as a documented medical or personal emergency. Students who are granted administrative withdrawals will receive a full refund of tuition and fees.

  • Involuntary Withdrawal: Students may be involuntarily withdrawn from the program for academic misconduct or failure to meet the program's academic requirements. Students who are involuntarily withdrawn will not be eligible for a refund of tuition and fees.

Procedures

To withdraw from the Unique Endeavor in Business & Social Sciences program, students must follow these procedures:

  1. Submit a Withdrawal Form: Students must submit a completed Withdrawal Form to the Program Director. The Withdrawal Form can be obtained from the program office or online.

  2. Meet with the Program Director: Students must meet with the Program Director to discuss their withdrawal and any outstanding academic or financial obligations.

  3. Return Program Materials: Students must return all program materials, such as textbooks and library books.

Financial Aid

Students who withdraw from the program may be affected by their financial aid awards. Students should contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss their financial aid options.

Appeals

Students who believe that they have been unfairly withdrawn from the program may appeal the decision to the Program Director. Appeals must be submitted in writing within 10 days of the student's notification of withdrawal.
